Expand and improve Public Spaces

Farmer's and Crafter's Markets, Waterfront Park, Roxby Paza

Promote the expansion of public markets, “people places,” shopping hubs, parks and recreational facilities.

Promote a vibrant accessible farmer's market. We have supported the experiment of placing a new market on St. Paul Street in downtown Kelowna.

I supported the concept of adding a new public restaurant in the new Yacht club that all Kelowna Citizens could enjoy. I have also supported the building of a new Tourist Information Centre on the old parking lot off Queensway. This will opened in 2018 and will be a great asset to our visitors - not mention provide much needed washrooms for the general public.

I support the completion of Jim Stuart Park between the skating rink and the new Yacht club. This public space, under the iconic "Bear" is some of the best public space you will find anywhere in BC. The ever-popular skating rink is major downtown asset in the inter months.

I will work toward the completion of a revitalized Kerry Park on the waterfront. This final link will complete a beautiful walkway from the WR Bennet Bridge to the Rotary Wetlands in the north - end of downtown.
